Trusting God Completely

                  Trusting God Completely

Are You Struggling With Trusting God Completely?

If so, don't worry it's okay.  You are among so many new believers, believers who have been around a while, myself included at times, or those who are interested and not too sure about learning more of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Believe it or not, God was prepared for everyone of us who feels this way.  Scripture tells us that He knew us, before we knew ourselves.  That's the type of Awesome God, we serve!

It is always easier to stay where we are, in pain and misery, than to truly God with all of our hearts and minds.  Trusting God completely is perhaps something totally new to some.  That's okay, too.  As God is available to everyone.  He is no respector of persons.  I, too have times when I start to waver on whether going my own way is the way to go.  Only to end up more frustrated than when I was merely trusting and waiting on the Lord above.

II Corinthians 12:9 says, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness."

II Corinthians 3:4-5 says, "We have such trust through Christ toward God.  Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God."

Our heavenly Father knows our every weakness.  He constantly reminds us in scripture how much he loves us and wants to provide for us.  We have everything we need in Him.  There's no need to look elsewhere.  There is only one creator and his name is Jehovah.  The creator of the heavens and earth.  My question is, why don't we look to Him for all of the answers.  For certainly, He knows, this all belongs to Him, including us, for we are his people and the sheep of  His pasture.

Struggling to trust in Him completely is hard indeed, especially in the beginning.  Good ole satan is always around to tempt us.  Yet, God has an answer for that,

I Corinthians 10:13 says, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

You see, with the Lord, there is an ever present help and protection.  I have tried so hard to use my own power to run the things in my life.  I've made plenty of mistakes and have many regrets.  I've gone through the phases of faithfully attending church for a while, going to Bible study, choir, and other various activities, and have always stopped after a while.  Most of the time is was I so convicted in spirit about so many things about myself.  I have been my own worst enemy, let me tell you.  Yep, I got haters too, don't we all?

When you start to trust completely, you see the real you.  And sometimes it's not pretty.  It's scary as one throwing a baby in air for the first time (for the baby, I mean).  You first defense to run, get scared, go into denial, heart may harden, among other things.  Yet God was prepared for that, too.

It's going to take practice, prayer and meditation in the scriptures to help cure you of not being able to trust God completely.  Our Father in heaven is very patient and slow to anger.  All the time he waits for us to come to Him.  He's never pushy, but always loving.  He's a giver, not a taker.  He'll never let you down.  He promises to never leave us or forsake us.

Don't hesitate, you can start today if you haven't already.  If you have started and began to slack, it is okay.  Pray about it and get back in those scriptures to start applying them in your life. God's gift to us, is eternal life through His son Jesus Christ.  And to me, that's worth trusting God completely.  There are other benefits that come with the relationship.  Riches stored in heaven.  Oh my!

Man is too emotional.  Let's face it, we change our minds so much about so much, it is ridiculous.  That explains all of the different fads and trends.  It drives me nuts sometimes.  I do like variety, but not the tug-of-war mentality hidden behind it.  But anyway, my point is, we really can't rely on one another, not really.  You know those one sins like jealousy, envy, and covetousness start to lurk around.  Those are some strong emotional sins.  They've destroyed a lot of lives.  You know, so a man thinketh and whatever.  The power of thought is a force to be reckoned with.

But God is All Powerful!  He's Omnipotent!  He's Infinite!  He's Wonderful!

In the world today, so much turmoil is going on.  God bless the Parisians!  This is His prophecy coming true, as He said it would come to pass.  Literally everything you need and want to know is inside of your word, the Holy Bible.  We have a Multi-Purpose God, who gave us a Multi-Purpose Guidebook: the Bible.  So whatever it is, we are sure to find it in there.  Our Father left no stone unturned when it comes to how much and what He'll do for us.

We just have to worship Him in Spirit and Truth.  If you ask me, living in the light is so much better than the darkness.  That's a cold and lonely place.  It's a place we were never meant to hang out in.  We were always a part of God's Divine Plan.  Remember God is patient with us, so we need to learn to be a little more patient with ourselves.  Trust that He'll work it out, increase and bless thou unbelief.  You're going to have to exercising Faith.  Believing God will, even though you can't see His work in action.

Did you forget we were sinners.  Not one of is good, no not one.  Yet our Heavenly Father wants us to trust Him completely anyway.  We are created in His image for His Praise & Worship.  He loved us so much that His own Son was sacrificed on a tree to win us back to Him.  If God can do all of that in spite of fleshly shortcomings, is it too much to trust Him with your entire being.  After all, our bodies are His temple.

Remember to stay encouraged, read your Bible daily, pray daily & often, meditate on the scriptures, and fellowship with God.  He desires a personal relationship with each and everyone one of us.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul;
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
For His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of
            the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For Thou art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me
   in the presence of mine enemies
Thou anointest my head with oil;
          my cup runneth over
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow
          me all the days of my life: and
I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

This tells us to have confidence in God's grace!

May God Bless Us All!

"Be Still And Know That I Am God!" Psalms 46:10

"Be Still And Know That I Am God!"  Psalms 46:10

Have you ever felt like your load was too heavy to carry?  Do you ever think that there is no light at the end of the tunnel?  It is all of those times of confusion and stress that we are to call on our Heavenly Father.  In His precious word, He often reminds us that He Is All Powerful!

With that knowledge, we are to take comfort in the fact that things will work out.  It may not be when you want it.  But, please know that God's timing is always perfect and on time.  We are admonished to "Step into His rest."  God is a peaceful God.  We need to put our trust in the Lord now, more than ever.  The Bible never lies!  It can't.  It always reminds us of God's unchanging love for us.

Why is it so hard to rely on God?  We are often disappointed when we devote all of our faith and trust in man.  We have a tendency of letting one another down the first chance we get.  As humans we change like a chameleon.  Yet our Father stays the same.  For generations the Lord has been there for all believers.  Jesus once said "My burden is easy and my yoke is light."  "My peace I give you."

If you're in need of comfort, just go to your Bible, in there is all you need to get through anything.  Our God Is An Awesome God, and He Reigns From Heaven Above, With Wisdom, Power and Love.  Didn't you know that Jesus is the Wonderful Counselor.  It is nothing for Him to bring about a change or changes.  Our wisdom is foolishness to Him.  His wisdom is beyond our understanding.

Meditation and fasting are great resources for getting one with our Lord.  Trying everything but God, hasn't  worked out too well, has it?  All the more reason to stop what you are doing and realize that you don't have to go through this alone.  Our Father is everywhere at all times and is more than able to turn any negative thing around in your life.

Centering your faith and trust in the Lord is like a breath of fresh air and then some.  Have you ever felt better after you have stopped doing what you were doing and took in a very deep breath and then exhaled.  There's a reason for that exercise,  it tends to slow down the heart rate to much better tempo.  Well, that's what being still and knowing that God is God is all about.

May God Bless Us All!
